PINEAPPLE GINGER GUT FIZZ
Sep 10, 2026
GF. DF. Paleo. RSF.
A zingy pineapple-lime fizz with a proper ginger kick that tastes more like a spicy tropical mocktail than a wellness drink.
Why you’ll love it: Bright, refreshing and made with ingredients you can find at a normal supermarket. The fresh ginger gives it a proper kick while potentially supporting digestion, making it a fun option when you want something fizzy that does a little more than simply hydrate.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 0 minutes
Servings: 1
Ingredients:
- ½ cup 100% pineapple juice
- Juice of ½ lime
- 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
- Small pinch of sea salt
- ½–¾ cup sparkling mineral water
- Ice
- Lime wedge, to serve, optional
Method:
- Add the pineapple juice, lime juice, grated ginger and sea salt to a glass and stir well.
- Fill the glass generously with ice.
- Top with sparkling mineral water and stir again.
- Taste and add a little more lime or ginger if you like it extra punchy.
Extra notes:
If you don't love little pieces of ginger in your drink, shake the pineapple juice, lime and ginger together first, then strain it into your glass before adding the sparkling water. Fresh ginger gives this far more flavour than powdered ginger, so it is worth using here.
Worth the Hype: Why ginger?
Ginger can support digestion by helping food move through the stomach more efficiently, which is particularly relevant if you tend to feel heavy, overly full or sluggish after meals. Research also suggests ginger may have wider benefits for metabolic health, including glucose regulation and insulin sensitivity.
