TIRAMISU PROTEIN OVERNIGHT OATS
Aug 26, 2026
GF. RSF.
Your morning coffee and breakfast had a baby, and somehow it tastes like tiramisu while still doing its job as an actual breakfast. Also considering how much you guys loved the tiramisu chia pudding, this seemed like a no-brainer! (check that recipe out here)
Why you’ll love it: Prep it in five minutes the night before and wake up to a creamy, coffee-spiked breakfast with approximately 35g+ protein and 8g+ fibre to help keep you full and actually make hitting your morning protein target easy.
Prep time: 5 minutes + overnight chilling
Cook time: None
Servings: 1
Ingredients:
- ½ cup (45 g / 0.10 lb) gluten-free rolled oats
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- ¼ cup (60 mL) strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
- ½ cup (125 mL) unsweetened almond milk
- 3 tbsp protein powder
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- ½ cup (120 g / 0.26 lb) high-protein Greek yoghurt/yogurt
- ½ tsp cacao powder, for dusting
- 1 tsp raw honey, optional
Method:
- Add the oats, chia seeds, cooled coffee, almond milk, protein powder, vanilla and sea salt to a jar or container and stir really well until combined.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours, until thick and creamy.
- When you’re ready to eat, give the oats a stir. If they’ve become thicker than you’d like, add a small splash of almond milk.
- Spoon the Greek yoghurt/yogurt over the top to create your creamy tiramisu layer.
- Dust with cacao powder and drizzle with up to 1 teaspoon of raw honey if you want a little extra sweetness.
Extra notes:
Protein powders absorb liquid differently, particularly plant versus collagen or bone broth-based powders. If your oats look very thick before refrigerating, add another splash of almond milk; if they’re still too loose in the morning, stir through a little extra chia and leave them for 5–10 minutes.
Make sure the coffee is cooled before mixing everything together. You can also use decaf if you’re limiting caffeine or simply want the tiramisu flavour without adding another coffee to your day.
If your protein powder is already sweetened or flavoured, taste the finished oats before adding honey, you may not need it at all.
